Getting started
Sign in, create an account, or use local-only mode
Understand what each entry mode does, what stays on the device, and when connected features become available.

Choose an entry mode
- Sign in for an existing account. Use the linked Google or Apple option if that is how the account was created.
- Create an account for a new account and future connected-feature eligibility.
- Local-only mode for core use without an account. The app describes this as “Your entries stay on this device.”
Use the right option
- Open Vibbrancy. Select the option matching the account state above.
- When signing in with email and password, enter the account credentials. Use Forgot password rather than guessing repeatedly.
- For linked sign-in, choose the original provider and its original provider account.
- After entry, open Settings → Account to confirm whether the app shows local-only mode or an authenticated profile.
- If you want cloud copies, continue with the separate Cloud Backup setup. Review any sync preference before using multiple devices.
Expected result
The app opens without removing existing device-local entries. A signed-in state makes connected controls eligible to appear; it does not prove that backup or encryption is active. A local-only state remains usable for core logging.
Recover safely
- Verify the connection and visible error. Retry online first.
- If offline entry is offered, remember it depends on cached credentials from an earlier successful sign-in on this device; it is not guaranteed.
- If password enrollment is shown as unavailable for a passwordless account, keep using the linked provider rather than inventing a password route.
- Do not clear local data, uninstall, or switch conflict preferences merely to repair sign-in.
Important boundary
Local-only entries stay on the current device and are not a backup. An account is a prerequisite for connected features, but Cloud Backup must still be available and enabled separately. Signing out leaves entries already stored on the device, while disconnecting cloud features.
Contact support
If the safe recovery steps do not work, email hello@vibbrancy.app. Include your platform, app version, the visible error text, what you were doing, and whether you were online. For sync trouble, you may include the app’s copied sync summary after reviewing it.
Never send a password, PIN, recovery code, access token, private mood or journal content, health details, or raw diagnostics that contain secrets. Vibbrancy support will never ask for them.
