Before you start

Choose whether this device will hold the only copy of your entries or whether you want an account for connected features. Core mood logging can be used in local-only mode. An account is needed for features such as cloud backup and multi-device sync, and those features have their own plan and setup requirements.

Set up Vibbrancy

  1. If you already have an account, choose Sign in and use the same sign-in method you used before.
  2. For a new connected account, choose Create an account and complete any email-verification step shown.
  3. To keep using only this device, continue in local-only mode. Do not treat this choice as a backup.
  4. Complete onboarding, then use the centre Log Mood action when you are ready for a first check-in.
  5. To review the choice later, open Settings → Account. Restart Onboarding in General settings repeats setup guidance without deleting entries.

Expected result

You reach the main app with Home, History, Insights, and Settings in the bottom navigation. Local-only mode is labelled “Your entries stay on this device.” Signing in or creating an account should not by itself delete local entries.

If setup gets stuck

  1. Check whether the app is asking for email verification or the sign-in provider originally linked to the account.
  2. Reconnect and retry before relying on offline entry. Cached offline authentication may be available only after a successful prior sign-in on that device.
  3. Do not uninstall or clear site/app data to fix onboarding while entries exist only locally.
  4. If the screen loads but a connected feature is missing, check its separate plan, account, connection, and enablement requirements.

Important boundary

Local-only storage is not a backup. Device loss, uninstalling the app, clearing browser or site data, or similar platform storage behavior can remove it. Creating an account does not itself mean Cloud Backup is enabled.

Contact support

If the safe recovery steps do not work, email hello@vibbrancy.app. Include your platform, app version, the visible error text, what you were doing, and whether you were online. For sync trouble, you may include the app’s copied sync summary after reviewing it.

Never send a password, PIN, recovery code, access token, private mood or journal content, health details, or raw diagnostics that contain secrets. Vibbrancy support will never ask for them.
