Read the sync state

Syncing… means work is in progress. Offline means the connection is unavailable. Pending Sync counts pending or syncing operations; it excludes failed operations, which appear separately in Failed Sync Operations (N) when any exist. Check both places. Synced or “No pending changes” means the current queue reports clear; it is not a substitute for checking important records on the intended device.

Safe recovery sequence

  1. Keep the device with the newest local entries unchanged. Do not sign out, uninstall, or clear its data.
  2. Confirm a stable connection and disable any temporary network restriction that blocks the app.
  3. Open Settings → Data & Storage. Confirm Cloud Backup is enabled and the expected account is signed in.
  4. Choose Sync Now once, keep the app open, and wait for the state to settle.
  5. If Failed Sync Operations (N) appears, use Retry for a listed operation. Follow the manual recovery steps shown for anything that still fails, then recheck both places.
  6. Export visible CSV or JSON history before any more invasive troubleshooting.

Automatic local database recovery can clear queued and failed operations before you can act. If the app reports or appears to have recovered local data, or both Pending Sync andFailed Sync Operations unexpectedly clear while an important mood remains uncertain, do not create the mood again. Preserve the app data that remains and contact support.

Expected result

The pending count reaches zero and the indicator reports Synced. A delete made offline may disappear locally before its queued deletion finishes remotely.

Prepare safe diagnostics

Expand the advanced sync section to review cached entries, pending sync, last sync, and success/warning/error counts. Copy Debug Info or Share Report can help, but review the output and remove private or secret material first. Send only the minimum needed context.

Important boundary

Preserve data first. Do not clear app/site data, uninstall, or choose a cloud-only replacement while unsynced local work exists. This article intentionally excludes destructive conflict replacement. Verify an export and sync state before considering any storage-clearing action.

Contact support

If the safe recovery steps do not work, email hello@vibbrancy.app. Include your platform, app version, the visible error text, what you were doing, and whether you were online. For sync trouble, you may include the app’s copied sync summary after reviewing it.

Never send a password, PIN, recovery code, access token, private mood or journal content, health details, or raw diagnostics that contain secrets. Vibbrancy support will never ask for them.
