Export mood history
Download CSV or JSON history, understand PDF plan access, and avoid mistaking an export for a restorable backup.

Choose a format
- Export as CSV creates a tabular file and is in the current Free feature configuration.
- Export as JSON creates a structured data file. Like CSV, its current control is not plan-gated.
- Export as PDF opens the report flow and currently requires Complete access.
Download an export
- Open Settings → Data & Storage.
- Confirm the history you need is visible. Export controls are disabled when there are no loaded entries.
- Choose Export as CSV, Export as JSON, or Export as PDF.
- Complete the PDF options if that flow opens.
- The app asks the current browser or webview to download the generated file. Check that browser or webview’s download handling. CSV and JSON filenames include
vibbrancy-YYYY-MM-DD. - Open the file locally and confirm it is readable before relying on it.
Expected result
A file is generated as a temporary browser object and handed to the current browser or webview’s download behavior. Export does not turn on Cloud Backup, perform sync, or enable encryption. A setting named Require Auth for Export is visible, but the audited CSV, JSON, and PDF export path does not currently enforce an authentication check. Treat every exported file as sensitive: protect it after download and delete it when you no longer need it.
Missing download
- Check that at least one entry is loaded. Only PDF currently requires Complete access.
- Check the current browser or webview’s download handling. If it reports that the download was blocked, allow this download and retry once.
- Do not clear app data to repair a download. Try CSV first when a PDF-specific flow fails.
Important boundary
Vibbrancy has verified export controls but no verified interface for importing a mood-history file or rebuilding app state from one. CSV, JSON, and PDF files are downloads for your records; do not assume they can be uploaded into Vibbrancy. Store exported files according to their sensitivity.
Contact support
If the safe recovery steps do not work, email hello@vibbrancy.app. Include your platform, app version, the visible error text, what you were doing, and whether you were online. For sync trouble, you may include the app’s copied sync summary after reviewing it.
Never send a password, PIN, recovery code, access token, private mood or journal content, health details, or raw diagnostics that contain secrets. Vibbrancy support will never ask for them.
