Data and sync
Enable cloud backup and sync
Turn on Cloud Backup for an eligible signed-in account and distinguish sync from export and encryption.

- In-app path

- Last verified
- against product source

Prerequisites
Sign in or create an account, confirm current Complete access, and connect to the network. If entries exist only on this device, export them first when practical and review sync choices before adding another device.
Enable Cloud Backup
- Open Settings → Data & Storage.
- Find Cloud Backup. If the row says Add account, create or sign in to an account first. If it shows Pro, current plan access is required.
- Turn on the Cloud Backup switch.
- Review Sync Preference. Merge All (Recommended), Keep Cloud Data, and Keep Local Data have different conflict consequences; choose only when you understand which copies exist.
- Keep the app open and connected, then check Sync Now and its pending count.
Expected result
The Cloud Backup description changes from “Data on this device only” to “Data backed up to server” after enablement. Eligible new offline operations are queued and later synced. If encryption is already enabled, Settings states that synced data is encrypted and points to Privacy & Security.
Toggle unavailable
- Confirm authenticated state, Complete access, and connectivity.
- Refresh subscription entitlement if Complete was recently purchased or restored.
- Do not repeatedly toggle during an active sync.
- If older encrypted categories are pending, finish them from encryption settings after reconnecting.
Important boundary
Cloud Backup is not the same as file export or end-to-end encryption. It requires a signed-in account, current Complete feature access, enablement, and connectivity for transfer. Do not choose a destructive conflict strategy just to finish initial setup.
Contact support
If the safe recovery steps do not work, email hello@vibbrancy.app. Include your platform, app version, the visible error text, what you were doing, and whether you were online. For sync trouble, you may include the app’s copied sync summary after reviewing it.
Never send a password, PIN, recovery code, access token, private mood or journal content, health details, or raw diagnostics that contain secrets. Vibbrancy support will never ask for them.
